Ararat 2025

Soon, we will go on an exciting trip to Turkey! During this journey, we will climb the legendary Mount Ararat (5,137 m), explore amazing landmarks and natural sights of Western Armenia, try local dishes, and visit the city of Kars, where the famous poet A.S. Pushkin once walked.

The trip will last 5 days. We will spend 3 days on the mountain, and the rest of the time visiting beautiful places in Western Armenia. Our climbing plan also includes an extra day in case of bad weather, giving us a better chance to reach the summit.

Mount Ararat, 5137 meters high, is the tallest mountain in Armenia and is located in Turkey. It is situated 16 kilometers east of the Armenian-Turkish border. The mountain has two peaks: Masis (5165 meters) and Sis (3925 meters). The direct distance between these peaks is 10 kilometers.

Join us on our grand journey through Turkey, during which we will ascend Mount Ararat and visit the most interesting architectural monuments and natural landmarks of Western Armenia.

Climbing Program

Day 1. Yerevan - Ani - Dogubayazit

✓ Transfer from Yerevan through Georgia to Turkey.
✓ Visit to the Devil's Castle, one of the oldest architectural landmarks in the region.
✓ Relaxation on the shores of Lake Çıldır.
✓ Exploration of the city of Kars - one of Turkey's coldest cities, visited by A.S. Pushkin. Stroll through the city center, visit the fortress, and the Russian church.
✓ Visit to the ancient Armenian capital Ani, the city of 1001 churches.
✓ Arrival in the city of Dogubayazit, check-in at the hotel, and an evening stroll through the city.

✓ Overnight stay at a hotel in Dogubayazit.

Day 1. Yerevan - Ani - Dogubayazit

✓ Transfer from Yerevan through Georgia to Turkey.

✓ Sending heavy items on horseback to the base camp. Trekking light to the base camp, located at an altitude of 3200 m. Along the way, we will be able to observe the life of local cattle breeders.

✓ Rest at the base camp.

✓ Acclimatization exit light to a height of 3700 m.

✓ Dinner at the base camp.

✓ Overnight in tents.

Day 2. Dogubayazit - Base camp

✓ Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by off-road vehicles from Dogubayazit to the foot of Ararat at an altitude of 2200 m.

✓ Sending heavy items on horseback to the assault camp. Trekking light to an assault camp located at an altitude of 4,100 m.

✓ Rest in the assault camp.

✓ Acclimatization exit light to a height of 4,500 m.

✓ Dinner at the assault camp.

✓ Overnight in tents.

Day 4. Summit day

✓ Rise at 00.15.

✓ Light breakfast at the assault camp.

✓ Access to the summit at 01.00.

✓ Rest and photo shoot at the top (5137 m).

✓ Descent to the assault camp, rest.

✓ Descent to the base camp, rest.

✓ Descent to the mountain village of Eli.

✓ Transfer to the city of Dogubayazit.

✓ Free time (you can walk around the city or relax at the hotel)

✓ A festive dinner.

✓ Overnight at a hotel in the city of Dogubayazit.

Day 4. Summit day

✓ Rise at 00.15.

✓ Light breakfast at the assault camp.

✓ Access to the summit at 01.00.

✓ Mini-hike to the walls of the Daruink fortress.

✓ Excursion to the palace of Ishaq Pasha.

✓ Transfer from Dogubayazit to Kars.

✓ Visit to the city of Kars, one of the coldest cities in Turkey, which A.S. Pushkin visited. A walk through the city center, a visit to the fortress and the Russian church.

✓ Transfer from Kars to Yerevan.

Day 5. Dogubayazit - Kars - Yerevan

✓ Breakfast at the hotel.
