The best time to climb Kazbek is in August and early September when the weather is not too cold, there are no significant temperature fluctuations, and there is less chance of heavy rains and thunderstorms.
Day 1: Yerevan - Tbilisi - Stepantsminda
In the early morning, we'll depart from Yerevan to Stepantsminda. Along the way, we'll visit several fortresses and take a stroll through the town of Bolnisi, which was once home to Germans from Baden-Württemberg. On this day, we'll also relax by the Zhinvali Reservoir, sample various types of mineral water, and enjoy traditional Georgian khinkali. In the evening, we'll explore Stepantsminda, take in the panoramic view of Kazbek, have a delicious dinner, swim in a mineral water pool, and spend the night at a Georgian guesthouse.
