Mount Aragats is the highest peak in Armenia and one of the most important mountain systems in the region. It is located in the western part of Armenia and consists of several peaks. Mount Aragats is of volcanic origin and is a significant natural and cultural symbol of the country. There are many natural attractions and historical sites on and around its slopes, including fortresses and ancient monuments. Mount Aragats also offers unique opportunities for climbers and outdoor enthusiasts, and its majestic scenery impresses everyone who visits the region.
Why should I go on this hike
Climb to the southern peak of Mount Aragats (3887.8 m)

We will climb to the western peak of Mount Aragats (4001m)

We will have lunch at the southern peak, which offers a beautiful view of Ararat, Hatis and other mountains.

We will see the mountain lake Kari, where you can swim.

Beautiful landscape with spring flowers

We will enter an abandoned observatory located at an altitude of 3,200 meters.

We will see one of the ancient vishapakars, which were installed at mountain water sources several thousand years ago.
