The Yerevan Salt Mine in Avan is an incredible place where you can learn all about the salt mining process and the history of the mine from its chief engineer. To get to the mine, you'll descend 235 meters in a real miner's lift, where you'll encounter vast halls with crystalline walls made of real salt. Here, you can experience not only the beauty and power of nature but also the healing properties of the air, which is very beneficial for the respiratory system. During the tour, you'll also visit an active medical speleo therapy center, where salt therapy is administered.

We will visit active salt mines, see carts loaded with salt, and learn a lot of interesting facts about the process of extracting rock salt, which formed 25 million years ago in the place of an ancient sea.
We will put on helmets and descend into a real miner's cage underground to a depth of 235 meters.
We will see a medical speleotherapy center, where patients are treated by inhaling air saturated with salt, and we will also experience the effects of this healing air (salt mine workers rarely suffer from colds and respiratory diseases).
We will search for beautiful salt rocks - souvenirs to remember our visit to the mine.
We will learn a lot of interesting things about the underground world of Yerevan.
We will have breakfast at a depth of 235 meters.
