Mount Yeranos is located not far from Yerevan, on the border of the Kotayk and Ararat regions. The mountain stands at an elevation of 1823 meters and is clearly visible from many districts of the Armenian capital. From the Yeranos Ridge, there is a stunning view of the Azat Reservoir, the Geghama Range, and the mountains of Ararat and Aragats. The unusual colors and beautiful rocks of the Yeranos Ridge attract many mountain enthusiasts to this area. It is here that the famous Pink Gorge is situated, where one can find genuine dendrite minerals with imprints resembling leaves of ancient plants.
