Mtnadzor Gorge (meaning "dark gorge") is located in the Tavush region of Armenia, near the village of Lusadzor and the well-known Lastiver area popular among outdoor enthusiasts. The hiking route starts from the Makaravank Monastery and ends at the village of Lusadzor. Along the way, we will see alpine meadows, an enchanting forest that resembles the Fangorn Forest from "The Lord of the Rings," and pass through a stunningly beautiful canyon with a mountain river, waterfalls, and high cliffs.
