Kotuts is a 2,061-meter-high mountain located in the Ararat region of Armenia. The mountain features a significant gradient, with all paths to its summit becoming particularly steep in the final third of the ascent.

During the hike, we will walk through a red dry gorge and finish the route at the Gevorg Marzpetuni Castle.

Why should I go on this hike
We will visit Tapi Berd, a 10th-century fortress also known as the Fortress of Gevorg Marzpetuni, as well as a 13th-century church.
We will climb to the peak of Mount Kotuts (2,090 m), offering a stunning view of Mount Ararat.
We will see the red gorge and observe magmatic intrusions and other geological formations.
During the climb, you will see the fantastic view of Mount Ararat.
We’ll take plenty of photos and relax in the company of like-minded adventurers.
At the end of the hike, a delicious dinner will await us, featuring hot soup, snacks, sweets, and mountain herb tea.
