Very soon, we’ll set off on an unforgettable journey to Tanzania, where we’ll climb the legendary Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 m) via the most comfortable route - Marangu.

We'll stay in cozy mountain huts, visit the towns of Moshi and Arusha, take in breathtaking natural landscapes, and enjoy the stunning views of the African savannas.
At the end of our adventure, we’ll go on a real safari to experience the wild nature of Africa and fully recharge after the climb.

The entire trip will last 9 days: 6 days will be spent on the mountain, while the remaining time is dedicated to sightseeing and relaxation. The itinerary also includes an acclimatization day to increase our chances of reaching the summit.

Mount Kilimanjaro, at 5,895 meters, is the highest peak in Africa and is located in Tanzania. It consists of three volcanic cones: Kibo (5,895 m), Mawenzi (5,149 m), and Shira (3,962 m). The distance between the Kibo and Mawenzi peaks is about 11 kilometers. Climbing Kilimanjaro is part of two major mountaineering programs: the “Seven Summits” and the “Volcanic Seven Summits.”

Join us on an exciting journey to Tanzania, where we’ll take on Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route — widely known as the most comfortable option thanks to its well-maintained trail and hut accommodations. Day 1. Arrival

✓ Group arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), tour participants greeted by a representative of the We Hike Armenia team and transferred to the hotel.
✓ Check-in at a cozy hotel with comfortable rooms, hot water, a swimming pool, internet, and friendly staff.
✓ Evening briefing by the We Hike Armenia team, gear check, and discussion of the climbing route.

Overnight elevation: 850 m

Day 1. Arrival

✓ Group arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), tour participants greeted by a representative of the We Hike Armenia team and transferred to the hotel.
✓ Check-in at a cozy hotel with comfortable rooms, hot water, a swimming pool, internet, and friendly staff.

Day 2. Ascent from Marangu Gate to Mandara Camp

✓ After registration and obtaining permits, the group will start the ascent to the first camp, Mandara (2,700 m).
✓ This day involves a long trek with significant elevation gain. It is very important to choose the right pace and maintain it to aid acclimatization.
✓ Accommodation at the camp and a short acclimatization walk to the Mawenzi crater.
✓ On the Marangu route, we will stay in specially equipped huts, which is an excellent option for those who prefer not to sleep in tents.

Day 5. Trek from Horombo Camp to Kibo Camp

✓ Breakfast at the camp in the morning.
✓ Start the trek to the Kibo Camp (4,700 m), from where we will begin the summit push to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) during the night.
✓ Arrival at Kibo Camp, rest, and altitude adaptation.
✓ Guide’s recommendation – go to bed early and, if necessary, take medication for altitude sickness.
✓ Drink plenty of water and minimize physical exertion for better acclimatization.

Overnight altitude: 4,700 m

Day 5. Trek from Horombo Camp to Kibo Camp

✓ Arrival at Kibo Camp, rest, and altitude adaptation.

✓ Drink plenty of water and minimize physical exertion for better acclimatization.

Day 6. Summit push to Uhuru Peak and descent to Horombo Camp

✓ On the way to Uhuru Peak, we will first reach Gilman’s Point (5,681 m), then Stella Point (5,756 m).
✓ The climb is technically straightforward; the main challenge is the high altitude.
✓ Each two participants are assigned a personal guide to monitor physical and mental condition.
✓ Gilman’s Point, then Stella Point, and finally Uhuru Peak — the highest point in Africa.
✓ Optional visit to the nearest glacier after reaching Uhuru Peak.
✓ Descent back to Kibo Camp for a two-hour rest.
✓ Continue descending to Horombo Camp (3,700 m).
