Gnishik Canyon is located in the Vayots Dzor region near the Noravank Monastery, 140 km from Yerevan. It is also often referred to as the Noravank gorge due to its proximity to the monastery. The gorge is part of the protected landscape of Arpa and is famous for its unique high red cliffs with many caves. This area is also a natural habitat for Bezoar mountain goats - one of the best climbers in the world!
