Fioletovo is a cozy village where Russian Old Believers, known as Molokans, have preserved their unique culture for over 200 years. Together with the locals, we will learn to make pelmeni and other traditional dishes, enjoy a meal featuring the famous Molokan sauerkraut, pancakes, and tea from a samovar, and discover their way of life and traditions.
During a stroll through the village, we’ll immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of a true Russian winter and visit the house where Maxim Gorky once stayed.

We will have a walk through the village of Fioletovo, home to Russian Old Believers known as Molokans, see traditional Russian cottages, hear the unique Molokan dialect, and indulge in a bit of nostalgia.
We’ll visit the Molokan house-museum and learn about the culture and everyday life of the Russian Old Believer community.
We’ll learn about the history of Fioletovo village and get a chance to taste local delicacies: the famous Molokan sauerkraut, pickles, jams, and dumplings.
We’ll enjoy a delicious Molokan lunch featuring pancakes and pies with jam, accompanied by hot tea from a samovar.
We’ll stroll through the village streets and see little calves, lambs, and other domestic animals.
