Mount Khustup is one of the most beautiful peaks in Armenia, located in the south of the country near Kapan, the administrative center of the Syunik region. The mountain stands 3,206 meters tall and distinctly stands out against the surrounding landscape with its sharp rocky summits and majestic silhouette. Near the summit, there is a large cave and a spring with delicious mountain water.
The slopes of Mount Khustup are home to rare species of animals and birds, as well as unique plants, many of which are listed in Armenia’s Red Book of endangered species.
The mountain is a popular destination for climbers and tourists. The ascent route to Khustup is not very difficult but is very scenic, attracting outdoor enthusiasts from around the world.
