Mount Aragats is the highest peak in Armenia and one of the most important mountain systems in the region, which is of volcanic origin. It is located in the western part of Armenia, has 4 peaks: Northern peak at 4090 m, the Western peak at 4001 m, the Eastern peak at 3908 m, and the Southern peak at 3888 m. There are many natural attractions and historical sites on the slopes of Aragats, including fortresses, lakes, caves and ancient monuments. Mount Aragats also offers unique opportunities for climbers and outdoor enthusiasts, and its majestic landscapes are able to impress everyone who visits this region.
