Mount Aragats is the highest peak in Armenia and one of the most important mountain systems in the region, of volcanic origin. It is located in the western part of Armenia, has four summits, and is a significant natural and cultural symbol of the country. The slopes of Aragats are home to many natural attractions and historical sites, including fortresses, lakes, caves, and ancient monuments. Mount Aragats also offers unique opportunities for climbers and outdoor enthusiasts, and its majestic landscapes are sure to impress anyone who visits the region.

Why should I go on this hike

We will climb the southern summit of Mount Aragats (3887.8 m).
We will have lunch on the southern summit, which offers a beautiful view of Ararat, Azhdahak, and other mountains.
We will see Lake Kari, a mountain lake where you can take a swim.
A beautiful landscape with spring flowers.
We will visit the abandoned observatory located at an altitude of 3,200 meters.
We will see one of the ancient vishapakar (dragon stones), which were placed near mountain water sources several thousand years ago.
Lots of photos and the company of like-minded people.
