Mount Alsar, standing at 1,854 meters, is located in the Ararat region of Armenia. Its name translates to "Raspberry Mountain" or "Red Mountain," reflecting its distinctive appearance. While the Ararat region isn’t known for its mountain ranges, it boasts a few truly impressive peaks worth visiting, and Alsar is one of them.

During this hike, we will also visit Angel Canyon, the Barakahbyur River Valley and taste the water from the Kotur mineral spring.

Why should I go on this hike
During the climb, we will see the breathtaking view of Mount Ararat. From the summit of Alsar, you can enjoy stunning views of the Ilkasar, Karagagat, and Khandasar mountains.
We will to the peak of Mount Alsar (1,854 m), also known as the "Raspberry Mountain" or "Red Mountain" due to its color.
We will see interesting magmatic intrusions and other geological formations in the Barakahbyur River Valley.

We will visit the Instagram worthy natural landmark called Angel's Canyon.

We will taste the water from several mineral springs.
There is currently almost no snow on the trail.
We’ll take plenty of photos and relax in the company of like-minded adventurers.
At the end of the hike, a delicious dinner will await us, featuring hot soup, snacks, sweets, and mountain herb tea.
