Between the stars and clouds:

On early Saturday morning, we will head to Syunik, the southernmost region of Armenia, to enjoy the amazing beauty of these places. We will spend this weekend on Mount Khustup, a sacred mountain for Armenians, where we will set up camp and spend the night in tents high in the mountains above the clouds. But first, we will climb to the summit and watch the sunset, which will take a lasting place in your hearts! Afterwards, we will have an unforgettable evening and a delicious camp dinner: we will talk about various topics, gaze at the bright stars, roast tasty sausages, and warm ourselves by the fire. The next day, we will spend time on the picturesque slopes of Khustup, walk along the famous Trail of Legends, and return to Yerevan in the evening, full of impressions and satisfaction. All participants will receive commemorative certificates from the Federation of Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism of Armenia for climbing Mount Khustup.

Mount Khustup is one of the most beautiful peaks in Armenia, located in the south of the country near the administrative center of Syunik Province, the city of Kapan. The mountain's height is 3,206 meters, and it stands out prominently against the surrounding landscape with its sharp rocky peaks and majestic silhouette. Near the summit, there is a large cave and a spring with delicious fresh water.

The slopes of Mount Khustup are home to rare species of animals and birds, as well as unique plants, many of which are listed in the Red Book of Armenia.

The mountain is a popular destination for mountaineers and tourists. The climbing route to Khustup is not too difficult but very scenic, attracting outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world.

Climbing Program

Day 1

✓ Transfer from Yerevan to Kapan in a comfortable minibus
✓ Visit to the city of Kapan. A walk through the city center, with views of Mount Khustup
✓ Transfer of heavy equipment to the location of our future camp
✓ Hike up Mount Khustup along a scenic trail that passes through clouds and fields of large red poppies
✓ Views of the Meghri and Zangezur mountain ranges, as well as Mount Kaputjugh, the second-highest mountain in Armenia
✓ Photoshoot above the clouds at the summit of Mount Khustup, where we will watch the sunset
✓ Setting up camp
✓ Dinner and conversations around the campfire
✓ Stargazing: we will see the most visible band of our galaxy—the Milky Way—and its center, the Andromeda Galaxy, the closest galaxy to Earth, thousands of bright stars, dozens of constellations, and of course, the North Star
